Believe me just like any other person people have different opinions on this one. But just to introduce my opinion;

Equity (Gender equality) is achieved when women and men enjoy the same rights and opportunities across all sectors of society, including economic participation and decision-making, and when the different behaviors, aspirations and needs of women and men are equally valued and favored.

OMG! who said that? I wish he knew what i see from here;

Equity is when women have women representatives while men have non?

Equity is when the law dictates that there must be 1/3 of women in every organization/sector (qualified or unqualified)?

Equity is when women are funded in majority (But back in the house men are still the providers)?

Equity is when a woman is innocent until proven guilty while men are guilty until proven innocent?

Equity is when a woman can stare at a man but when a man stares at a woman it is considered wrong?

Equity is where a man can be mistreated several by his wife and when he reports it becomes marriage conflict quickly solved by sub-chief but when a man slaps his wife it becomes gender based Violent and “watetezi wa haki ya wanawake wanaingilia kati”?

Men and fellow women who agree that the definition of equity has changed its cos help me add more points here:

Equity is when ………………?

I hate this “Truth be told, if she don’t qualify, she can’t fight for it, she cant even ask for it, why is she being baby sited and seduced to take it” when men must qualify, fight for it, work for it and still be told “sorry we need women for the post”.

From times in memorial great women have achieved a great deal, even in the bible talk of Ruth and her like the Queen. Talk of queen Elizabeth and many other great ladies who qualified and owned what they were. Ladies who made adorable leaders. If it is slavery more men suffered slavery that women, its only that men fought and they still work hard for there freedom. How many women fought for freedom? anyway, i’ll live it for my fellow people to say something.
