When he was in form 3 in 2009 he began his musical journey where he released his first album entitled “Angalia” this was through the help of Fm2 Studios with his first producer Mr. Fred Mutunga.
Through this album Cosmus managed to continue paying his secondary fees. After form four he became a hawker in the streets of Nairobi in still looking for university fees. Cosmus managed to join Multimedia University in 2013 and studied degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. In 2016 Cosmus Graduated having done 3 complete albums.
In 2015 He wrote a book entitled “A YOUTH WITH A DIFFERENCE”. The book has so much about his life. Talking about how his father had offered him as a sacrifice at the age of 7 days. Cosmus said that his naming was done in the see at the age of seven days and given the name IBRA…the meaning of his name was …” the prince of darkness) he also explained how his father Tortured him to a point of cutting him with a panga, put him in a suck and thrown in the forest. Due to such humiliation, Cosmus today is surviving with one kidney for he went under operation.
In his music journey and experience, Cosmus won threw awards in 2016. i.e Mwafaka Awards as the Pwani Rising Star of the Year, East Africa Gospel Awards as the Coast artist of the year and Tanzania Gospel Awards as Worship sing of the year. This year Cosmus is again nominated in Xtreem Awards with his Song ‘Nitosheleze’.
He has been in different countries, i.e S.Africa, Rwanda, Uganda, Burundi, Zambia and Malawi. Beside music he is a journalist and a business young man who deals with graphics. He is also a motivational speaker who has been of great help to many youths and students .
Cosmus is a great inspiration to many in Africa.
