BONIFACE’S OPEN LETTER TO SEEK ADVICE!
“Hello! I’m writing to you this letter to find a piece advice from you concerning my music Skiza Tune contract terms Breaching..!
I’m a gospel Kenyan based music artist whom have been in the music industry for a quite long time over 5 years. Have recorded more music and several albums so far.
In my music career journey, I have met many different personalities some good hearted others will personal issues.
I met one music Promoter who promised me to take my music to Skiza Tune and help me get more fans through that platform.
Since we didn’t sign a physical contract, he took advantage of that situation and benefits much than I do.
Through my music, he earns 70% of the music royalties paid by Skiza Tune and I only get 30% of the stake.
So, kindly Mitego Sasa people assist me to get to know what exactly should I do because i didn’t and I don’t agree with that kind of contract and the Promoter is only taking advantage of me.
When I asked him why doing all that to my and my music, he responded saying that we had agreed and signed contract of five years which really I didn’t see a paper or have a copy of the alleged agreement.
It’s disappointing to see someone eating and enjoying life from your own efforts and you don’t get anything at same time.
I’m confused about that situation now and getting depressed.
Should I wait for the said 5 years till the end of the alleged contract in order to find a different company to work with or should I let it go or report to the police for legal law to take action?”
That what our brother Boniface Ndunda is going through after finding himself in a big trap of music marketing Promoter.
What’s your advice to Boniface Ndunda?
