Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho sentenced to jail for 60 days or pay cash bail of Ksh 250,000.
According to the news release today, the Mombasa County boss has been found guilty of breaching court orders over land disputes.
Joho is said to have hired 100 goons to demolish a perimeter wall worthy Ksh 2 Million that belongs to one of Changamwe tycoons, Ashok Doshi.
Environment and Land court judge Sila Munyao has said that the land disputes issue was laid to court back in year 2019 March and the final decision could only come from court not a personal decision from Joho and his team.
Again, Joho has been defying court orders to appear in court following the case of the wall demolished that happened in 2019.
He has been accused together with Changamwe MCA Hon Bernard Ogutu who is reported to go on jail for 14 days or pay a cash bail of Ksh 20k.
Unlike Joho, Ogutu has been adhering to court summons.
