40 PEOPLE FEARED INJURED AS ANOTHER BUS OVERTURNS IN NAKURU KERICHO HIGHWAY

It is a sombre mood for the residents of Nakuru kericho highway after another bus overturned few kilometers close to the londiani grisly accident scene.

The londiani accident claimed over 50 lives . The trailer behind the accident lost its breaking system hence ramming into moving matatus and pedestrians going about their businesses.

The ENA couch bus was heading to kericho from Nairobi . The cause of the accident has not yet been established.

Area residents and police officers helped in rescuing those in the bus.. Those injured were rushed to the nearby londiani hospital.

Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen has announced a series of measures he plans to undertake to curb such cases. He said there is a bill will be introduced in Parliament regarding the safety of the roads.

Among the measures is introducing cameras in the vehicles that will measure the speed the vehicle is moving at, and a system to check the last service date for a vehicle.
