A Kenyan Made Ferry Finally 🥳

MV UHURU II wagon , a ferry made by the Kenya Defense Forces KDF has been launched by the Kenya shipyard limited .The ferry is 100 meters long and is worth ksh 2.4 billion.

The move has been appreciated by many kenyans further showing the defence force ability.Kenya shipyard limited further stated that the launch was indeed ” a milestone ” to them and to Kenya as a country.

The launch involved testing the ferry for floatation, testing the systems in the ferry, testing for the start up engines , generators , navigational equipment among others.

Kenya shipyard limited stated that the ferry will be exposed to the real conditions away from the dock to evaluate it’s suitability.It also stated that the ferry is additionally properly fit commercial shipping.
