The sub county commander for Gatanga constituency has revealed that the Catholic priest who died at a Murang’a hotel was In a relationship with his girlfriend for six years.
Rev.Fr kariuki died on the morning of Saturday after having a good night with his girlfriend.
The priest had checked in the hotel the previous day in the company of his girlfriend. He ordered chicken and drinks worth 6000. He later retired to bed only to wake up complaining the following morning.
He complained of dizziness and losing consciousness. His girlfriend alerted the hospital management who sought to take him to kenol hospital.
They wrapped him with the hotel sheets and put him in his vehicle a Toyota Harrier. He was however pronounced dead on arrival.
The girlfriend indenfied as Ruth Nduhi said that the two had visited the hotel frequently for close to two years now. She also confessed that she had been in a relationship with him for six years.
His body was taken to mater hospital mortuary accompanied by police officers.The police took samples of the food he ate and the drinks he took to help in the investigations.
