Residents of Eastleigh have raised questions in the quality of construction projects ongoing in the area. They have experienced several apartments that have collapse md within the last two months.
The recent case is of Julias wanyonyi who fell from the third floor of a building he was constructing. His colleagues said he had just reported to work. Residents said the building had killed three people in the course of its construction.
They explained that in first floor, one person was electrocuted and died , in second floor another person fell and was found in the basement and now while in the third floor Julias was the casualty.
The residents explained that the construction had been closed by authorities earlier on but it still continued. They asked the authority to close the site till safety is provided.
Additionally, they said the owners of the building did nothing regarding those who accidentally died while working at the site.They just looked at the bodies.
This comes barely a month after a wall in the same Eastleigh area collapsed falling on a 2 year old boy killing him on the spot. The boy had been left in his parents home when the unfortunate incident happened.
