One business lady has been left shocked after she was stolen at her mpesa shop along mfangano street in Nairobi.

The lady said that a man clad in a black shirt came to her shop making a phone call that seemed to be an emergency. The lady explained that he never saw anything suspicious

The man explained that his vehicle and his liquor had been arrested by the police and he needed 40,000 to bribe the officers so as to release his car.

The lady explained that the man asked him which agent number to use ,she showed him one ofvthe agent numbers on the wall.

The man then asked her to give him ksh 30,000 so that he could give it t the driver nearby to avoid his car being arrested. The man left hus ID and his phone and asked the lady to take care of them as he gave the police the money.

This is what he used to win her confidence. The lady innocently gave the money. After some minutes it hit he that the man had not come back . It was when she realized that the ID the guy left was a fake one, the phone he left also had no simcard and it was also a phone on ‘mkopo’. She had been conned


Mpesa agent have been the recent victims of robbery. Some are conned unknowingly while others are Brocken into.
