Biography Of Musician Sir Mwana(Ayyub Barasa Omar)

Singer/songwriter Ayyub Barasa Omar Chesula (aka Sir Mwana) is a Kenyan Musician and one of Western Kenya’s biggest Urban African crossover artist.

He first found regional success in 2018 with the popular single “Timbula” and Katika featuring S Kiddy Bwoy.

However as a budding artist Sir Mwana became a darling of many in 2015 after winning the Airtel Uganda Music Award AS The Most promising new artist.

Sir Mwana began his career in music as when he was in campus at Moi University in 2015.

As an artist in western Kenya where Radio was the main media his first records, Murder Girl, Gej Naikana, Mtoto wa Sonko among others were all Audios with no video yet still arned him aname in the music industry.

In 2016 he released his first video Msupa in collaboration with Denwanda and Jomyn Ghipuka, campus best friends and classmates.

In 2017, he started pursuing music full-time, at first collaborating with various Kenyan acts including Swalleh Geffor, Ojays BMG, Mozart Ace and S Kiddy Boy.

Sir Mwana was also featured in BMG Entertainments, Anthem Party Killers which received massive airplays, this propelled Sir Mwanas Career through his country wide Events under the management of BMG Entertainment.

2 018, he recorded his studio single as a solo artist; Timbula was released by Mae Famm entertainment to great critical and public acclaim across Kenya and neighboring Uganda, propelling Sir Mwana to stardom in his home region and the entire country.
