COLD WAR IN POLITICS

Githunguri constituency member of Parliament Gathoni Wamuchomba has criticized the government for what she says she is receiving a cold treatment from the state head president William Ruto.

Gathoni said that the president sidelined her during his visit to her own constituency. She explained that she was not allowed to walk with fellow Kenya kwanza leaders, among them the deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and majority leader Kimani Ichung’wa.

She added that she was not even allowed to take a photo with the head of state. Gathoni explained that the president and his deputy did not recognize her presence or any other woman leader in the occasion. She shared a photo on her Twitter page where no woman leader was among the dignitaries .

Gathoni has been on the rise slumming the government saying that the president does not give room for women leadership. She recently attacked the Kenya kwanza government for which she campaigned for in the last year’s general election after only male leaders from the government were given a chance to explain the policies the government wants to undertake.

This was during The Big Question interview organized by Royal Media service live on Citizen tv on Wednesday last week .She reasoned women were good at convincing than men. Top Kenya kwanza officials among them Trade CS Moses Kuria and PS Housing Charles Hinga were present during the interview.

The treatment she is receiving clearli shows the results of not agreeing to the policies of the government. Recently, deputy president Rigathi Gachagua threatened the members of Parliament who would not pass the bill of denying them development funds. Kenyans have accused the government of dictatorship.
