Deal Done: Manchester United Second Signing Confirmed

Tom Heaton,a 35- years -old goalkeeper has sealed a deal to Manchester United stopper.

According to the renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano,the English premier league giants have completed a deal to sign Tom Heaton from Aston villa with medical set to take place late in June.

The former Burnley goalkeeper is sait to be a backup for David De Gea and Henderson for the coming season.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Heaton will be joining Manchester United for free since has been signed and agreement made already.

“Tom Heaton is a done deal yes, as a free agent he is joining for two seasons with one more as an option in the contract, agreement has been completed.”

“In the last week of June he will have medicals, he will complete his move and he will sign a new contract there as new Manchester United goalkeeper so it’s a done deal.” Fabrizio Romano added.

The previous month Daily Mail reported that United were considering bringing back their former keeper as they look forward to sell one of their recent keepers so as to it down wage costs due to covid-19 pandemic.

Heaton has been preferred due to his superb performance while at Burnley as well as at Aston villa.Throughout his career,he has kept 28 clean sheets .

He has also earn praise after his superb performance where he assisted Burnley to be promoted to premier league from champions in two occasions.

Heaton will be the second Manchester United signing after Edison Cavan who renewed his contract with the club before the end of 2020/2021 premier league season.
