Elected politicians in the country, especially those allied to Azimio boss Raila Odinga, have of late been finding themselves trapped between a rock and a hard place.

On one hand, these leaders have to work with the serving government in order to deliver their mandate, while on the other hand, they have to oppose the same government as a show of their political beliefs and loyalty to Baba.
Temperatures have recently been flaring every other day as these politicians are spotted meeting the government leadership, with accusations of betrayal flying all over.
Today, President William Ruto took to Twitter to share details of a meeting he held, and among the attendees was prominent ODM icon Esther Passaris.
Passaris is serving as the Woman Representative for Nairobi, but she also holds another role at the Pan African Assembly.
The body is a form of Parliament encompassing the wider African region, and is headquartered in South Africa.
Passaris landed the nomination to this Assembly last year, alongside four other Kenyan legislators.
According to Ruto, the meeting today focused on deliberations increasing trade and investment among African nations.
Clearly, Passaris has not had a change of heart in terms of her support to Raila, and her attendance in this meeting means nothing more than her discharging her duties, unless she states otherwise.
