Great Families that form a bond that is unbreakable can do well in business. Eight sisters from kericho county are a perfect example for this.

The sisters Rosemary,Nancy ,Audrea , Betty , Caroline , valary ,Joyce and Betty have proven that a family can run a business perfectly.To avoid wrangles each one has her role with Rosemary being the company’s spokesman.

They all ran the ksh 100 million Earnest tea factory based in Kericho county. They process tea and sell it both locally and outside the. Country.Their product is accredited by all relevant Bodies including Kenya Bureau of standards,KEBS.

Their journey started in the year 1961 where their family cultivated 12 acres of tea. Their Father advised them to invest in the tea sector, a decision which has borne fruits to them . They have now expanded to 80 acres.

Rosemary stated that they produce tea using the Orthodox method due to its high health benefits.Orthodox method has been on demand recently.Some of the health benefits include reducing heart disease, reduce inflammation, reducing blood pressure among others.

She revealed that to maintain high quality tea, they keenly pick the tea from the family land and from neighbouring farms. The tea leaves should not be grown using any pesticide or using any chemicals.It must also be grown on volcanic soils and on altitude of 2100m above the sea level better .

With proper coordination from family members family business is indeed worth it.
