GACHAGUA AS A VILLAGE BOY

Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has given kenyans a glimpse of childhood life as a village boy.Gachagua stated this while flagging off the 2023 WRC safari rally competition on Thursday June 22.

Gachagua stated that in his early life he was a fan of safari rally and would sneak from his home to go see the safari rally.He stated that the safari rally of old used to happen around Easter festivities and was eagerly awaited by many young people.

He said that the safari rally competition gave him a chance to see his childhood girlfriend who was highly protected by their parents. He said “it was almost impossible to meet a girl of your dreams.They were under lock and key by their salaried and strict fathers .The only time they could sneak out was during the safari rally event.”

He said that as a village boy, life was hell boring and meeting their girlfriends during the safari rally brought much joy to them.

The dp further revealed how tough it was for him as his mother would not allow him to go see the safari rally as she was not a fan. He had to sneak out.

He narrated how at one point their mother asked them who had won the safari rally.As innocent as they were , they told her that legendary Jonginder sigh had won. After that their mother asked them to go collect fees from him when time came to open schools.He said as cracked up in laughter
