Manchester United faced a big test on Saturday after they welcomed their old rivals Manchester City at Old Trafford as they looked forward to win all the three points.
They have had a good record this season while playing at home, where they have won all of their last five home matches in all competitions.
In the derby match, both teams looked strong enough to win all the three points.
Pep Guardiola brought in Jack Grealish in the second half who came and brought a massive change. He ended up giving his side the lead in the 60th minute following a lovely pass from Kelvin De Bryune.
In the 80th minute Bruno Fernandez gave United the equalizer. Two minutes later Marcus Rashford who has been on top form scored to give United the lead.
In that match, one of United’s player who impressed many is Raphael Varane. The Frenchman has been outstanding for the Red Devils this season as he has been good defensively. United have been keeping the cleansheet mostly because of him in the recent matches.
On Saturday he delivered an impressive performance as he gave Manchester City strikers a headache to unlock United’s defence. Kelvin De Bryune and Haaland who have been the key players for Manchester City tried all means to unlock United defence but Varane top defensive skills gave them no chance.
He cut off all their passes and blocked their shots to stop them from scoring. Haaland has now failed to score in three consecutive games for city.
