Interior Cabinet secretary,Prof.Kithure Kindiki on Tuesday announced that plans were underway to have interdenominational prayers in the Shakahola forest.Kindiki said this when he launched the third phase of exhumation of bodies inside the Shakahola forest.He said that this gave kenyans a chance to mourn those who unceremoniously died in Shakahola .
However, he never gave a clear date on when the prayers would happen .The death toll rose to 251 after more bodies were exhumed. The number is expected to rise after 22 mass Graves were discovered.He was accompanied by DCI Director General Mohammed Amin and interior Ps Raymond Omollo.
Kindiki reaffirmed that Mackenzie will never leave jail, after brainwashing his followers of good news international to fast to death. He said that the government would hide nothing from the public regarding the Shakahola mass killings.
A taskforce was formed to collect the views from kenyans on regulations to be put in place to govern religious institutions to avoid such an incident from ever happening again.The task force is expected to collect views from western Kenya next week and collect views from Nairobi’s residents in early August.
