Barely days after President Ruto defended Trade CS Moses Kuria he has yet again criticized the Azimio coalition for the mass promised protests organized by the coalition.
He dared the Azimio team to call for mass protests against the finance bill as they had promised if the bill passed in Parliament. He said that if the Azimio called for a protest against the bill, they would organize a protest to advocate for the bill.
In his statement he said ” Demonstration is not a monopoly for someone. They can demonstrate against it. we are going to demonstrate for.” He said that the Azimio team does not own the streets and that he can also lead a protest to the same street.
In his defense to the 16 % tax on petroleum products, he agreed that it was painful to kenyans but it was necessary to pay the the debts the government had inherited from the previous government.
He as well expressed his relief after the president backed him back and defended him . He said that the media has its freedom to report but it was reporting wrong fabrications.Kuria broke the hell loose on Nation media group for reporting an alleged corruption on cooking oil.
