A video from Ngara area in Nairobi has elicited various reactions from kenyans. The video captured Matatu operaters mainly drivers and conductors chasing police officers.
The mob was armed with crude weapon including sticks ,pangas and stones. The men in uniform had to run away for their dear lives.
Various leaders among them interior Cabinet secretary Kithure Kindiki condemned the incident and warned the general public from confronting police officers. He warned Kenyans from taking the law on their own hands
The angry citizens said that the officers were mistreating them and causing unnecessary jam on the road.They claimed that the men in blue often asked for mandatory bribes from the operaters.
Former county boss condemned the incident saying that the police officers could be prompted to shoot anyone in the mob in the name of self defense.Other Kenyans followed the same suite criticizing the operators for the incident.
They urged them to take a legal action on the officers if they so feel that the officers are operating against the law.
