The interior Cabinet secretary Fred Matiangi has declared Tuesday, May, 2022 a public holiday to celebrate idd-ul-Fitr.
On a gazette notice Matiangi has declared a public in line with section 2 (1)of the public Holidays Act.
Idd-ul-Fitr is a religious holiday that is celebrated by Muslims across the globe.
This religious holiday marks the end of the month-long-dawn-to sunset fasting of Ramadan.
