Mine collapses in Siaya leaving one dead💔😱

One person was left dead while five others were left injured after the goldmine they were working in collapsed .The six were mining at night when the shafts collapsed in Rarienda Uyore village in siaya county.

locals responded quickly and aided in the rescue of the five who were still alive.However one succumbed to the injuries. The five were rushed to Siaya county referal hospital for specialized treatment. Three of them were treated and discharged but two of them remained though they wre still in stable condition.

The body of the diseased was taken to the siaya county referal mortuary.Siaya subcounty police commanader , ,mr Benedict Mwangangi said that investigations have started to determine if the goldmine was operating legaly.

The police commander warned goldminers of mining at night.The area chief;David Oula said that there were eleven miners in the goldmine and seven escaped the collapse unhurt.He further said they are yet to establish the cause of the collapse.
