NEW MID TERM DATES

The ministry of education through the principal secretary Belio kipsang has issued new closing dates for all students in the country.

The principal secretary amended the dates stating the mid term break for all primary and secondary schools will begin on 27th June 2023 and end on 1st July 2023.

This was a reshuffle from the initial planned date being 29 June 2023.Belio kipsang asked all school heads to stay guided by the ministry and abide by the new dates .

This was done after an intervention by the Kenya Secondary school Heads Association KESSHA chair who wrote to the ps stating that the initial dates would interfere with the annual KESSHA conference.

Kipsang agreed that the KESSHA conference is an important event that engages various school heads and helps them to share experiences and ideas on how to run their institutions hence initiating the changes
