POLICE INSPECTOR GENERAL JAPHETH KOOME OUTLAWS WEDNESDAY’S DEMONSTRATIONS


The police inspector General Japeth Koome has issued a notice to the general public outlawing the demos planned tomorrow.

The Azimio had planned nation wide protests tomorrow on Wednesday July 12 being an extension of the Saba Saba protests.

The Azimio leader Raila Odinga announced the anti Government protests to criticize the government for the high cost of living.

Koome said that the Azimio team had not notified any police station as provided in the constitution. Hence the protests were unlawful.

He further stated in his notice that the national police service got the news of the planned protests from the media.

He affirmed that the police were ready to disperse the crowd that would be gathered tomorrow using all lawful means.
