The long awaited mass rally at the kamukunji grounds finally happened. Led by azimio leader Raila Odinga , his followers led their way to the forum which was unsupported by the government.
Notably , wiper leader kalonzo musyoka was not present. Some of his followers questioned his loyalty to the coalition despite asking his followers to go for the rally.
Raila cleared the air Saying kalonzo us out of the country in Europe but had sent his greetings. He said that kalonzo was still loyal to the coalition. He also stated that former president Uhuru Kenyatta had also sent his greetings despite being visibly absent.
The Azimio team held the rally to criticize president Ruto’s decision to sign the finance bill into law. Raila accused Ruto of dictatorship. He said the government was making the poor to become Even more poorer.
Other leaders in the rally were Narc kenya leader Martha karua, former CS Eugine wamalwa, minority leader Opiyo wandani,Rarienda MP Otiende Omollo, former Murang’a county governor Mwangi wa iria among others.
