Businesses have been haulted in the Central Business District CBD in Nairobi after Azimio followers engaged in chaos.

The protesters were engaged in a running battle with police officers as they threw stones at the police.

The men in uniform used teargas canisters to disperse the rowdy mob.

Similar cases have been experienced in kisumu county where Raila has a massive following. Protesters matched to kondele grounds to mark the day.

Raila Odinga announced the Saba Saba rally to mark a “Third liberation”. He lobbied his members to converge at the kamukunji grounds and later walk to the CBD in Nairobi.

Businesses remain closed as the business men and women fear loosing their property in the protest. Azimio leaders have continued to say that the kamukunji meeting will be peaceful.
