Siaya members of county assembly are not yet done with the deputy governor William Oduol. The Senate yesterday saved the deputy governor from loosing his job after twenty seven senators voted to save him from the ouster while sixteen senators voted for his impeachment.
The MCAs have now said that they will file a petition in court to challenge the senates decision .The governor was impeached on cases of abuse of office and gross misconduct.
The deputy governor had Not been working closely with the governor James Orengo after he accused him of misusing public funds.
However, despite the debate inside his county , Orengo had not uttered a word over the issue he has remained silent.
The MCAs have also said that they will ask the DCI to come in the county and probe on the corruption cases. They further recommend that the governor does not offer his deputy any other assignment until the investigation is done.
They further recommend that all the furniture used by the deputy governor be held in a separate place and make the office be inaccessible to the deputy governor until the investigation is over.
The deputy governor is accused of using over ksh 18 Million to renovate his office for his comfortability . He is so accused of buying a presidential seat at a price of 1.12 million.Thw DG however accused the governor James Orengo since he is the one responsible for authorizing procurement transactions.
